BETWEEN THE ANCIENT VILLAS AND THE PRECIOUS VINES OF THE EUGANEAN HILLS THROUGH THE AROMATIC NOTES OF THE WINE PRODUCED IN THESE RICH AND FLORID LANDS
Duration: 8 hours
Cycling with our Palladian e-bike through the ancient lands of the first Venetians, descendants of Antenore, the founder of Padua, this tour explores the city of Padua and the villas surrounded by the vineyards of the Euganean Hills. At Villa Emo Capodilista the harmony of the architecture blends with the surrounding landscape. In the historic cellar, the balanced blends of grapes rest in oak barrels, and give the perfection of the aromas and flavors of the local wines.
Among the hills, we retrace the paths of the serene life of the Bishops in retreat in the villa in the countryside among terraces, vineyards and splendid frescoes. In the afternoon, the tour continues along the western side of the hills that lead to the discovery of the ancient Castle of S. Martino di Vaneza, where merchants and soldiers relaxed with food and wine.
Along the banks of the Bacchiglione, the nature of the rural landscape leads to the magnificence of the Grimani-Sorlini Castle, protected by a mighty wall embellished, inside, with terraced roof gardens and delicious citrus scents, grown in the greenhouses of the estate.
We conclude with a flourish a wine tasting experience, the aromatic notes of the wine are a pleasure for the senses; the last tasty reflection of the perfect day before returning to Vicenza.
