The extraordinary journey that forever transformed the face and the character of our city begins in our Palazzo Valmarana Braga, where you will be welcomed crossing our “door of time”to our late renaissance

After the explanation about the usage of the Palladian E-Bike, we can start diving together into our 1500s Vicenza. At the end of the walking introduction you will receive all the tickets, the maps, the business card to contact us during the day, the final logistic information and answers to any your question.

Time may have already come to get on your comfortable Palladian E-bike to reach Villa La Rotonda, the most famous of the works of the great architect who right here had the opportunity to freely design his temple, which has become the icon of all villas.

A look from the terrace of Monte Berico presents Vicenza from above, introducing at a bird's eye the urban context of the other Palladian architectures of the historic center, which we will soon reach.

So here you are back in the historic center, maybe to the magic of the unique Olympic Theater, the first covered theater in history, and the best representation of the ancient Greek ideal pursued by Palladio and his circle of patrons.

Three important Unesco Heritage Palaces house original art collections: Palazzo Chiericati with its imposing facade was the river port of Vicenza; inside, the civic museum will unveil its collection of Venetian works of art, Tintoretto, Veronese, Sansovino and many others. The Gallerie d'Italia of Palazzo Leoni Montanari houses several original collections, from the Attic ceramics of ancient Greece to the Venetian eighteenth century, as well as some temporary exhibitions. The Thiene Palace Galleries are open with the exhibition of the Pinacoteca and important Venetian ceramics.

The ancient Temple of Santa Corona is a precious treasure chest of history and art, besides the naturalistic and archaeological museum.

In the Palladio Museum you can also discover the rich heritage of the Palladian Villas, observing from close to the wooden models and understanding the thousand facets of his extraordinary genius.

You can finally reach the Basilica Palladiana, entering the majestic “hall of the 400”, admiring the view of Piazza dei Signori and the city center from the terraces, before going back down among the medieval arches; the precious Vicenza goldsmith tradition is represented at the Jewelry Museum, one of a kind.

Palazzo Valmarana Braga is located in Vicenza, in Corso Fogazzaro 16 and is in a Limited Traffic Zone: be careful not to enter it if you come with your car. The closest car park to our building is Park Fogazzaro, which is only a 5-minute walk away.
